The Company the Solitary Keep

"The Company the Solitary Keep," my essay on Judith Kitchen's nonfiction, was published in the Los Angeles Review of Books, along with essays on other aspects of Kitchen's work by Stephen Corey (criticism), Kevin Clark (poetry), and Marjorie Sandor (fiction).

I also wrote a very short essay on the broader appeal of Kitchen's work, "But to Interact," for the Rainier Writing Workshop's magazine, Soundings. It appears here, along with short essays from Sonja Livingston and Sven Birkerts.

I sincerely hope more people will read Kitchen. Her voice will be missed.
